You can use a portal to a new mining world. It has veins of ore, so see if you can hit a mother lode!

Let me know if it's too easy to get ore this way. We may make it a pvp event rather than just free mining.

I checked it out and yes there seem to be more diamonds and other ore but they are not in like a big line hooked together, it is more like the diamonds or ore are in the cluser a few blocks apart. So yes if you find one of these areas you will get more diamonds or ore.

So can we make more Creeper, Zombies, Spiders and stuff. Maybe make them a little stonger. I also think it should be PVP but there needs to be a safe area maybe 100 blocks around the portal. No protection of boxes and if people get killed and their hard worked for ore and diamonds taken ---- NO hard feelings it is the chance they take. Thats my take on it right now, what do you guys think.

is there a way we can set a time when the portal is open and when it is closed that way we are more likely to have a lot more people in the mining world at the same time? I can easy get on very late at night when no one is on and mine in safety but if say the mineing world is only open between say 7pm and 10pm EST then everyone will be in there at about the same time.....

I have posted a sign in the new world asking people to hold off on doing PVP until we are sure Paco is done testing.

The thing is right now IF it is PVP not everyone knows that, maps show where people are. It looks like we should workout some bugs before we let people PVP and than we need to make sure EVERYONE is on the same page and knows it is ok to PVP.

Yeah, I've tried to test when I have time and can't find a way to automate putting the world up for a period of time. I'll keep checking for a bit, but then we'll just have to take another plan of action I think.

The mine world portal is off line right now, :-( I died and was trying to get back to my 10 diamonds and lots of gold before it despawns but gate is broken...sad all my mining work... not the first time wont be the last Im sure.

Yeah I think we need to some how block that world from the map because people can see you, your hidout, mining area. And you know these guys are going to come after you in a group, with the map you cant hid.

hit the jack pot today found 53 diamonds in 15 mins. I came in to a cave and it was pack with the little bleu rocks :-)

Nice find Piccoman! That's the type of motherlode I was wondering if we would find.

I like the mod for sure, and yes it does affect the economy, so we'll want to work on how we use it.

Hisgun, did you try clicking the sign to the portal? It may simply be turned off. Also, DON'T USE CREATIVE MODE!!! You'll break stuff like those signs, command signs, precious stones, protection signs, casino, etc.
