What is Bukkit?

Bukkit is basically a mod system for Minecraft. It provides a framework for mod developers to create Bukkit mods to do various things. The possibilities are endless with what developers can create and there are already many useful mods.

Notch (founder/developer of Minecraft) will be providing an API and hopefully working with Bukkit to ensure it stays compatible with the game.


How do I find mods and request that we use them on our server?

There are many useful mods on Bukkit. There also also many fun ones, along with incomplete, or poorly written mods.

To see the list of mods, you can browse the forum at http://bukkit.org/ or look at the list of mods: http://plugins.bukkit.org/#ti=&ta=all&au=


If you see a mod you think would be useful, fun, etc. and you would like to see it on our server, make a new post in our clan Bukkit forum.

1. Select the prefix "New Request" and title it with the name of the Mod.

2. Provide a link to the mod page along with a description on why you would like us to use the mod.

We will review the mod and possibly test it out if it looks useful. A poll might be posted to get feedback from members if it is a mod which will make significant changes to the gameplay.


Requesting Mod Help:

1. Check to see if we already have a post for the mod.
2. If not, use the prefix "Help Needed" and make a post with the title of the mod
3. Provide a link to the mod page if a new post along with a description including any questions you have about the mod.
