My soon to be new computer desk (Completed w/Before and After pics) was created by [BBF]Chaser

So as many of you know I work at Lowes and from time to tone I get great and wonderful deals like my $2,000 fridge for $800 bucks.

But recently we got new counter top displays so I jumped on the opportunity to steal one of the old tops to use add a chunkier desk.

So this is going to be my new comp desk as so as I build some dressers or find something to place under it and find a way to cut a foot off each side.

What yall think?

I guess i should say it is a Quartz counter top and i only paid $60 for it which to me is a still. Im going to try and get it cut by some place here in town however the person i spoke to didn't want to agree to it so ill speak with the boss tomorrow if not i might just try it myself which will be a pain.

Either way it will be much nicer then my current cheap "L" shaped desk i currently have that doesn't fit all my stuff on it.

Looks a little big. Unless you computer room is in the Kitchen. Hey not a bad idea....
and why cut a foot off each end? why not cut 2 feet off one end?. Just a thought.

The counter top is 8" long however mu current set up consists of the "L" shape desk as i mentioned and a 2' desk i made to put my tower and printer on.

I cannot go much longer then 6' because the washer and dryer are to my left about 2 feet away. Once i figure out what i plan on doing ill post pics of the before and after so you guys can see what im talking about.

So i picked the top up from work today and this thing is a beast it took about 3 of us to put it into my truck. I am hoping maybe tomorrow or Sunday i can get the ends cut to fit that's going to cost me about $50 but its going to be easier then doing it myself.

My gosh that thing is huge! If that was me I would get it cut but its still really pretty and I like the idea of a kitchen countertop as a desk, I really hope you *clears throat* "trim the excess fat" :P .
