I think the clan has lived so long because of two things...

1) the foundation and rules that we hold
2) the great people who makes the clan what it is.

it may not be a big clan, but its a happy clan.

What is going on here for BBF 15th year?

Who is leading this thing at this point. The DC asked that a member step up and take the lead. Others can and should help.
The leader keeps it going makes sure we have games lined up and people to lead those games.
Game leader should work on what dates work best and line up players rules and prizes.
There are other Ideas people have had but no leader has stepped up to organize them that I know of.
We are running out of time.
Who is doing what?
What games are we going to play?
Who will chip in for prizes or money ($50.00 from me to be used as the leader works out, More?)....
I will run through the posts on this Itchy and try to list the Ideas but that is the job of the member who will step up
to be the leader on this and those who will be helping him...

1. We need a meeting. I will put a Time and Date out there just because I know how much time is
used up trying to set a meeting date. Next SUNDAY at 9:00pm EST (6:00 pm PST) on TS. We need to get going fast
and this date can be changed if a better one can be found.. Lets do this.

10 years today!

May marks BBF's 10th year of existence! The clan was formed on May 1st 2000 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by the founders Hivemind and Chods.

BBF started with a few members who played StarTrek Armada and has officially supported over 80 games over the years, and well over 100 total with all the 'Just for Fun' games members have played.

Can anyone who remembers these tournaments chime in to as how they did? I planned the L4D2 screenshot contest and the "Get to Know Your Clanmate" interviews. The L4D2 contest only had a few submissions but the interview posts were fairly successful (and helped boost chatter on the forums too).

Like others have said earlier, I think we have to include everyone (not just members) for this to work. A week, or a month of nightly events where you invite friends, family, clanmates, former clanmates, etc can really bring attention to the clan. We could play older games, current supported games, and F2P games.

Here is How I Can Help:
1) I want to do a couple of gaming nights (once or twice a month) leading up to May. Possibly more if it picks up steam quickly. I would want this to be open to clan members first, former members, and then friends if space permits. The first night would be Friday The 13th in March for Left 4 Dead 2. I could do my best attracting former members/ current (mainly through forums since I am not friends on Steam with most) to play. I used to be excellent at harrassing....errr...recruiting people to play L4D2 every friday night back when I led it. All we need is 8 players to fill a server. If more, start a second one.

The second night(say sometime in April), I would start a poll of an older or free game for everyone to play.

As I said before, I would do more or less of these depending on the response. However, I plan on organizing something for March's Friday The 13th irregardless. But it would be nice to have BBF's support and association with the event.

2) I will contribute my design skills if you guys wish. Whether it be graphics for forum posts, facebook posts, etc. I can help with the marketing of the anniversary events.

3) I can help organize the whole shin-dig. I helped organize the last milestone 5 years ago (10th year).

4) I may chip in for prizes if we have some wicked tourneys.

Sorry I have been away from helping you guys. My motherboard crapped out on me last month and haven't been doing all that much online since. I should be back on my ol' main desktop by this weekend *fingers crossed*.

Yes. 15 is quite an impressive number. Sure members come and go, but its the loyal core of players such as the DC and heroes that have kept this thing alive as long as it has. 15, truly impressive.
