I had just left NYC having been there for Labor Day Weekend. I was heading to work that morning and people were surprised to see me at the office as I was supposed to have been flying to LA that morning from Boston.

Due to a missed circuit install to out Gardena, CA, I cancelled my flight reservations about 2 weeks prior to the event, but otherwise could have been a passenger on Flight 11.

I went down to NYC as soon as Amtrak was allowed to bring passengers in from Boston and spent 3 days straight helping out.

I am a Fire Man in Charlotte, NC. I had just gotten married 10 days before 9/11. I had just got off from the station that morning and I was working at my part-time job. We had just got done unloading a truck, heard it in the radio, and went into the office to watch it on the TV. Another guy there also worked with me at the station, road the back of the truck together and also worked part-time together. We were standing there watching as we seen the 2nd plane hit. We had no clue what to do. As we kept watching the towers came down. We still had no clue what to do. We called the station and asked what to do. We were told to go home and stay by the phone with our families and if we were needed we would be called.

The city of charlotte was shut down, it was like a ghost town in the down town area for close to a week. All the stations were on lock down no one was allowed in unless you were a fire fighter. After shift change everything was shut down again.

At the time it happen I was so lost, scared, sad, and some many more emotions going through my mind at once. That had never happened to me before then or since then.

I will never forget.
I will never forget those Fire Fighter, Police, And EMS that gave their lives that day. In those builds there would be anywhere from 10 to 15 thousand people in each building at once. That day we only lost a little over 3 thousand people and almost 1 thousand of those were Fire Fighter, Police, and EMS. So those men and women got so many people out of those building that day before they fell. The loss of life could have been so much more if not for them.
So Yes I Will Never Forget!!

And I will never forget the men and women that our still fighting for our Freedom today. My kids, wife, and I, and every other American can wake up every day not lessening to bomb blow up and be able to go anywhere we want when we want.

I was stationed in Germany, there wasnt much information about the attack on the news but it had a clip of one of the towers collapsing...i was 6 though so it very vague.

I was just out of college and living in Tacoma Washington with my girlfriend. She woke me up and told me "terrorists are attacking America!" I remember being terrified for the lives in NYC, but also terrified for my own. I felt like the whole world was going to be nuked on that day. It's funny to think that I would have spent my last day on earth watching TV.

I was at a residential wiring job, building cieling fans in a new custom home, had no idea what was happening until the builder came and asked us if we had heard what had happened, that we were under attack. So we went and sat in the work truck and listened to the radio. I remember calling my ex-wife telling her not to go to work because she worked on Fort Worth JRB (military base).
