LOL got ya! :D

Now that your here, how can we make Clan BBF better and get more people to join.
I think the more people we have the more fun it is.
We have Great people here but even more would be better right?
So what ideas do you guys have?

Good games, are for sure on this list
as would be good leadership like we have in MW3
Feer Stuff...sorry got none...

What can we do as a clan and maybe as members to get this place growing???

I think we should start allowing people to take role as leader (if they show the initiative), for a game and instead of them having to find 10 people within the clan. Allocate them a certain amount of time to get everything together and let them recruit new players that are in fact already playing the game and are active in that particular game. Having to find 10 people that are in the clan already, that are in most cases already playing something else, is near impossible. The only way we will grow in the aspect of games and members is if we change the rules that are set in place to be able to start up a team in a new game. I believe it makes more sense to try and grow within new games rather than grow into games with the members we have, because there is never any guarantee that the members we find in the clan to play will be as active as possible in that game, but it IS guaranteed if you recruit new people within the game.

Let me know what you think Hisgun :)

And obviously while doing so, they follow the proper requirements and the proper recruitment process. And someone would be continuously over-seeing this complete process.

I agree with most of that. finding members outside the clan is the only way to grow. That is why I like the idea of the new game poll to see how meny members will play be taken in the "General Forum" where visitors and guests will see it and maybe sign up as wanting to play that game. As it is now we must place the poll in the Future Games forum where mostly members (and not even all of them) would look.

We will need to take a real hard look at this part of the charter to make sure it is not holding us back but it is right in that we do not want to go through all the work of setting up forums and TS ch. for games that will not even take off so that is why it says 10 people, I do not think they need to be BBF members. But yeah we need to look at that and better ways to get things growing...
Thanks

I know Im not a full fledged member yet, but I am still throwing my 2 cents in:

Support more free games

I dont mean giving them away I mean supporting more of a variety of free MMOs so that lower income people (such as me) can enjoy being a part of BBF without breaking their pocket book

The gaming community has changed drastically in 12 years. The sense of an actual 'community' is slowing dying. Growing up with certain games that provided what they did and comparing them to competitors was easy to do. Today there is no innovation, the gaming industry is a MASSIVE money sink, and corporations are capitalizing in huge ways. But it is killing the quality of games; they are being rushed, and forced out in an amount of time that isn't realistic.

Without quality games, there is no community feel. How can people get into a guild and create something that everyone here is seeking (the social aspect of SWG, or the old TWL ladder etc.) when we are abandoning most games in mere weeks. I don't believe it is our fault really. There is just SO much crap out there, that to find a gem is becoming tedious. The hype surrounding EVERY launch is stupid.

We were spoon fed in WoW, and now everyone and their grandmother expects the polished feel of a 6 year old game. Which isn't a problem, because WE DESERVE PERFECTION. We pay $60.00 for a game, and $15.00 a month for something that is half done. But how can we be expected to continue to play something that isn't finished. We can't.

Until something comes along that meets the standards of the gaming world, or more importantly EXCEEDS them, I honestly don't believe that social feeling will come back as strong as it once was. And until it does, the animosity of guild leaders forcing recruitment and trying to bring back the old feeling will actually drive everyone apart.

We need to be united as a guild, and be patient.

Exactly! And then say 2 months to start recruiting and getting a team together to get everything revolving with in that game.

Source I would have to disagree with most of that. Some things I agree on, but anyone can build a great community within a particular game if the go about it the right way and recruit good dedicated people. That's where im saying things like that, there would have to be somebody to oversee the process. Somebody that has experience and would most likely have to be an officer. Which as far as I know there's a high ranked officer that oversees things like that anyway.

I'd say we need more games - I just stopped by here after not looking for a few months and the list of active games has decreased - a lot. A few games = a few members, from what I can predict we need to get into the big games coming out and get a stable foothold once they're out.

Diablo 3, C&C Generals 2 are two games I know people will play - I haven't been looking out for games alot lately, haha.

Adding more games comes down to recruiting and offering what gamers want. We need to recruit to grow and support more games, but to recruit we also have to offer a great atmosphere to game in.

The more members that want to be a part of something great and put in a bit of time to show it, the easier it will be to recruit.

We tried starting games with less than 10 members, but usually it results in spreading our current members thin. If there is not an active leader with excellent recruiting skills to really help promote a game with only 3-5 members, then it probably won't go anywhere.

If we already have 10 members interested, then there are enough to get a small practice going (remember, we all have to not only sign up to play a game, but find a time when we call CAN game). This means even if you have 10 guys, only 5 might show up to practice. What happens if you only have 3-5? You end up with 1 or 2 for practice...

The exception to this should be new games with potential to become popular because it is easier to find recruits and part of the responsibility of leadership is to try and promote new games. Examples would be COD, BF, Star Wars. We always try to promote these games before they are released, so that by the time they are released, we have some members. We re-evaluate the game as people start to play it and if there is active leadership with practices going, the game stays.

Oh, posting about giving away beta keys might help too if you have some to hand out (Be sure to read the NDA if there is one). ;) It at least gets the public looking at our website and registering. I think we've had a couple members sign up for Tribes and FireFall simply because of the fact we handed out beta keys.
