Adding more games comes down to recruiting and offering what gamers want. We need to recruit to grow and support more games, but to recruit we also have to offer a great atmosphere to game in.
The more members that want to be a part of something great and put in a bit of time to show it, the easier it will be to recruit.
We tried starting games with less than 10 members, but usually it results in spreading our current members thin. If there is not an active leader with excellent recruiting skills to really help promote a game with only 3-5 members, then it probably won't go anywhere.
If we already have 10 members interested, then there are enough to get a small practice going (remember, we all have to not only sign up to play a game, but find a time when we call CAN game). This means even if you have 10 guys, only 5 might show up to practice. What happens if you only have 3-5? You end up with 1 or 2 for practice...
The exception to this should be new games with potential to become popular because it is easier to find recruits and part of the responsibility of leadership is to try and promote new games. Examples would be COD, BF, Star Wars. We always try to promote these games before they are released, so that by the time they are released, we have some members. We re-evaluate the game as people start to play it and if there is active leadership with practices going, the game stays.

Oh, posting about giving away beta keys might help too if you have some to hand out (Be sure to read the NDA if there is one).

It at least gets the public looking at our website and registering. I think we've had a couple members sign up for Tribes and FireFall simply because of the fact we handed out beta keys.
