It does. I have had a very clear scar on my left hand for a few years now from Paint ball. It is about the size of a quarter.

I was out paint balling one night and it was cold, and I was hiding in a bush when I spotted the opposite team. My team mate was behind me about 20 feet, and we both engaged the enemy. Since he was farther back, they spotted me first and started blasting on me. Never the less, within a few seconds my gun jammed and they, thinking I was out or something, rushed me and shot me multiple times almost point blank range.

It hurt, story short :P Blood and whelts from paint ball vs bruises from air soft
