Well after so many good stories mine is kind of lame... I like medeival stuff (king), I play minecraft (krafter because crafter was taken), and I like teaching people things when they have a stupid moment (101). It's not a long story but it works!

So I thought I would post. I am just a little Southern Gal from TN. My sister and I have very southern but unique names. My sister who was the girly girl was Jenny Rose. I guess you can say it fit her. I was Jessie Lynn. I was always called Jessie Lynn. Joining the Navy people started calling me just Lynn. I answered to both. When I started gaming I stuck with Lynn. Jessie could be a girl or boy name, so Lynn just stuck. All my toon names in every game had and still has Lynn in it. One thing that i HATE is being called Jessica. Not that it is a bad name, it is that it is not my name. LOL Dont try it.

mine id pretty boring when i started gaming i only played runescape and my name was wizzard503 (and yes i know it was spelt wrong runescape would star out the d for some reason) but then i got an xbox and the day i got live i was at school trying to think of a cool name and in science class we were learning about pulsars and quasars and i thought they both sounded cool and so i added my favorite color to the front and tossed the names back and forth in my head and pulsar won....then i got home and that was taken(i looked up the name and nothing came up so i was confizzled)so my brother witched the e in blue to a 3 and the s in pulsar to a 5 making blu3pul5ar which i like better anyway now(the only annoying part is people read it as blue 3 pul 5 ar but what ever

Shahal is the name of a sword in a little known PS1 game. In the game, the sword itself is the personification of Lucifer. It's wielder, a psychopath named Rainrix (also a name I use from time to time) is merely a puppet of Shahal. At the end of the game, Shahal kills Rainrix and finds a new host, continuing the vicious cycle.

BTW the name is pronounce Shâh-hall not Shayhal not shalal not shalalala. Two syllables, short A sound. Get it, got it, good.

Wintermute and Neuromancer were 2 intertwined AI's in a novel by the godfather of Cyberpunk and one of the largest inspirations for the internet, William Gibson. The novel was "Neuromancer" written in around '82, released in around '84. Gibson is among my favorite authors. I use variations on both names for most of my character names.

my name litterly has a five page story to it, so in short,

in BBF's only trial, i was the defense lawyer for hte guild wars division, quoting rules from our overly large charter at the time and finding loop holes.

since then i was known as lawyer for my keen understanding of our charter, it has since shorted to 1/10 of what it was.

Wow, some great stories here, especially Chaser and Reaver(I also played the first 3 or 4 Twisted Metals).
Mine is pretty simple, I used to play UTXMP with a guy named Tenacity, always liked it. Jack Black's band TenaciousD was big, and what I was into at the time.
Actually, it's not the greatest name in the world, it's only a "Tribute"!

@Chaser - You're not alone with the Nystagmus eye condition. My Siamese cat zoey had the same thing. I thought it was cool as hell.

As for me, back in the counter-strike days of 56k internet my friend Keith ran a server and we used to troll eachother a lot cause back then we were SUPER competitive (age 12-13 ish). He had a mod on his server that could turn me into a llama so *poof*, he turned me into a lama. The sound you made whenever you tried to do anything was "bwar" I misheard it and changed my name to "Ghwar"(my steam username) Somehow people started calling me that and it just stuck for years.

Once I joined the Army and people used to yell my name all the time needing things, nicknames arose. One day my friend Derek just started spitting out random nicknames and he said "Smiggy". The nickname was a huge hit and I even have a personalized dog-tag with my name Smiggy on it. I think it'll be Smiggy till death now ha.
