Remember that the speed is not the most important thing. It is the latency and hops to the server. Most of the delays i find in my game are the issues with the server and not my performance. I have a ping of 45ms but I still get lag. Again what is going on at the server?

Is it dedicated?
Is it a virtual box?
Does it share IO with a 100 other boxes? What is the backbone of the server rack, Fibre or copper? etc., etc., etc....

yeah, plus the netcode of the software. while I was fine playing UTXMP, UT2k4-xmp, CA, BC2 and a bunch of other games fine, UT3 consistently gave me a 900ms ping...no joke. almost a full second. impossbile to play at all...

lol i know what you mean....300 ping only works if you are playing some noobs...otherwise it stinks. my record was 900 on UT3...it was completely unplayable...
on BC2 I can get ~ 150-170 on plenty servers, but every once in a while i hit one with 300....and it sucks...

I give Comcast a grade of C- for the intermittent connection issues I seem to have right up to the moment I get tech support on the line, when it magically fixes itself.
