Been playing SimCity through all of their problems and headaches... not the most glorious of time-sinks, but it counts.. tiding me over until I get enough energy up to give "The Repopulation" my attention =)

Well with me I have been very busy working and making a coffee table. My wife wanted a coffee table with the top that lifts up to be able to keep blankets in. I have close to $250.00 in oak wood and I have been to lowes every day I have been off. I am about 50% done I would say but it will look great when I am done and it will be made of solid wood. So I hope it will last a long time. This table we were not able to find anyone like this at all. We found some close and now I know why the one that we found that were close are over $1000.00. I have close to 30hrs in this table and only 50% done. But I am still saving lots of money and I will have made it. :) I hope I am done soon.

LOL.. I've gone a different route.. making a dining table out of maple that the top lifts off so I can keep all my board/tabletop games running 'underneath' while we eat... then take the top back off and resume gaming! =)

Kind of like a stripped down version of Geek Chiq tables.. but about the same price point $200-250 in wood, building a 4' x 8' table that's bar height (sitting in a chair all day playing games hurts, so being able to stand is a GOOD thing).. =)
