Since after each roll call, I am asked to submit a report and nominate at least one person for medals in this division.....I figured I would open it up to the people this time around and see if anyone has any serious nominations for medals for our crew here at the Day Z division. While I will allow some joking in this thread, please seriously submit a nomination somewhere in your post instead of wasting space and time; as we are 2 days from the end of roll call and I will be looking to see if everyone is in agreement on at least one nomination.

So lets get this started... Get creative, too... Don't just consider what the medal description limits you to... Some don't all apply to Day Z, so feel free to tweak a bit and make it our own to fit the division.

Lue - Air Medal, Silver Star.
RPG - Meritorious Service Medal.

At the bottom of the page of awards there are 2 that have to do with training. How does someone begin training to be a officer?

When you are promoted, I believe you are supposed to go through a "training program" to learn your duties and go through all the drills that would be related to your position... such as learning how to moderate the forum, your game, or a server, etc...

Lets get some nominations going, guys... if you want yours to be anonymous, just PM me with your vote.

I nominate Lue for the Air Medal for all the times he picked myself and many others up when we were stuck out in the wilds.

I nominate RpG-Spot for the Meritorious Service Medal for keeping the server up, spending time working on issues with vehicles, and keeping the server hacker free.

Lue this may be the first time I have seen a GC ask for nominations which is a great thing because even as GC you don’t always see everything. I was thinking last night right before reading this post that I might try to work something out so we can allow members to nominate other members for awards/medals.

The nominate/request medal option is already built into the website. If you go to the award list the options are to the right of the awards. Not sure if the links go any were but that would be a start.

I tried it out and it sends it in for admins to go over. Maybe it could instead go to a forum thread so that people could vote on it.
