Fragnet is iffy. They're who I used when I hosted a server, and their staff is nothing but incompetent. Several times I actually had money refunded to me on their behalf (I didnt request a refund, they did it to keep me with them instead of moving business elsewhere) because of their screw ups and limited information regarding their own products. They may have changed since I last used them a year or so ago, but who knows. You kinda just have to wing it I suppose because it's not like they offer a trail. However, as Chase did mention, they do have a great online control panel for servers, as well as a easy UI to navigate through, plus mySQL database access for servers!

Some server companies charge to much, and some are cheap. Generally the cheaper ones are the crappy providers.

And Spartan, any donation is worthwhile. Try to throw in whatever you can when we set up the new paypal or whatever Chase picks. TBH though, I would throw in nothing less than $5 USD. You know, more the better. (IE: Dont donate 30 cents and expect to be praised or receive a donation badge).

I will donate eventually as well. Perhaps not this month seeing how I have already thrown away $130 to World of Warcraft (60 for panderia, 15 for monthly sub, 30 for faction change, and 25 for a realm change). I start a new job this coming Monday so I will start to have some extra money laying around.

I am still gathering info and reviews from multiple hosts as well thats why i am not 100% sure if i want to spend the money or not. Jester was a great host and since the server was almost a dedicated server he sort of spoiled us all

One thing I just thought of is we may at some point need to appoint a treasurer to handle all the donations. Right now it will not be needed but if we were to ever add in other game servers we would.

In many cases donations can be setup with a link going right to the provider so BBF or any member is not holding any money. That is what I like about our TS we have a donation link that goes straight to the TS provider, no one can think that maybe BBF is scamming us for our money because BBF never sees any of the TS donations. You get what you pay fore.

I understand where Hisgun is coming from because theyre have been several clans that I have known of that have had a leader or somebody in charge of funds decide one day to dip and leave the clan, and taking the donations with them. Perhaps we could set up a paypal account with all high DC members having access to it. Checks and balance. If one robs the account, report it and get refunded.
