As most of you know right now the battlefield series took a new turn off the general military stuff and went for cops and criminals, while some like or don’t I on the other hand really welcome the change of pace.

All of the people crying for a milsim the BF series always have been a bit more arcade-ish as COD franchise was the difference was the vehicles, the hit boxes, the bullet drop and timing. Parachute popping every time you jump down a building even from 20ft is highly impossible. Bullets going in a 90 degree to the ceiling off your rifle just to prevent quick-scope... So yes arcade-ish regardless.

Back on subject:

Campaign mode:
In my opinion it’s pretty much like the BF4 one you get boxes where you can change your loadout although you can play it a bit more in a stealthy way by arresting the criminals instead of killing them. Extra points given for an arrest instead of killing and a 1k pts for special warrants. Been playing stealthy for the most part right now and I really enjoy it even if I mostly prefer to run and gun.

You unlock certain guns by finding them, picking them up from enemies and/or from expert level pts.

I did not finish the campaign yet but the story ain't so bad yet.

Multiplayer mode:
Works great, netcode is great and works. Been so long since BF4 that I felt like when shooting someone it’s actually works, fair and accurate. Also not getting stuck on the floor now and then due to bad coding helps alot... god how many times did I get killed in BF4 cauz I was stuck on a carpet or some weird debris on the floor. Really enjoy the game while I haven’t played all game modes yet it’s been a blast with Ari even if I steal the MVP on most rounds. lol

My favorite map right now has been derailed on TDM mode.

My say it to give the game a least a try and if you don't like it there's always BF5 and Star Wars Battlefront coming up.

I would also love to get Ari's opinion on this title please.

Why my opinion!?

I really enjoy the game, even more each time due to the progression of my heavy weapons and their modifications. I thought it was pretty cool placing first without any kills. Just repairing and riding in one of the capture vehicles

I am enjoying this one more than all of the other bf's. Both in feel, gameplay and graphics.


Competitive play is something I have high hopes for. The hostage game mode was very fun

As for competitive play yes Hostage and Crosshaire game modes fits in perfectly. I really hope more of our member pick this game up and since the game works well recruiting is a good option now.

I never played BF4 cause of all the horror stories...... Im kinda curious how this one is panning out. I have logged lots of hours playing other Battlefield titles (BF1942, BFVietnam, BF2, BF3) and sorta want to get back in the franchise. Seems like the two of you guys recommend swooping this title

Battlefield 4 had allot of problems and still does, while quite fun still I'd either stick with BF3 or skip to Hardline. The Campaign is a bit too easy IMO even on Veteran, sad to say but they kept the vision cone on all difficulties. As for the multi? I really enjoy it some issues that should be addressed very shortly (Specially Hardcore having 100% HP compared to the usual 60% HP) ...in all and all I suggest you at least give it a try.

The game is great if you welcome the change of pace if not then wait for Battlefield 5 and/or Star Wars Battlefront.

Edit: You sure don't wanna hear bout the horrors BF4 pulled out lol.

Ohh I read about the horrors of BF4!! Arguably one of the worst FPS day one release's ever! That's primarily why I stayed away, I didn't want to run around a wall and have bending bullets still killing me (BF3 had that bad netcode too)...... BF2 was the best BF in my opinion. BF3 was ok but seem liked I paid $60 to play on 3 maps!

Yeah Metro, Canals and that other map... In all and all depends on the server admin's pref.

The only thing I hate with Hardline is the fact that I need 2 shots with my sniper rifle to kill the enemy if he's 20 meters +
