For those who do not know, one of the clan members decided to friend me on a social networking site. This person then went through posts I had commented on and decided that she/he was offended by my addition to a discussion that neither included or in any manner directed itself at her/him. Upon this discovery they decided to screen shot and place the said discussion on an image sharing site without taking into account the privacy of my wife and other people not even associated with this clan member. This picture stayed online for over 8 hours which in internet time is an eternity.

Unfortunately, I can only blame myself by trusting people I thought were decent human beings. I beg of the rest of the clan to remember that when you do not share an opinion, that is fine and I support you all the way. But please, do not run off the deep end with your ideals and start putting people you don't even know on the spot and put their names out there for shame.
Sure, you and maybe 45% of the country have opposite views, but the same people with your views believed in fairness to all, more importantly kindness and respect. People like me are a minority and we just want to believe what we want to believe like you everyday without persecution.

On a more serious note, there is a law that protects citizens from defamation of character and our good friend whose privacy you decided not to protect just recently passed his bar exam. I would hope, for your sake, that he finds more kindness in his heart than you did.

Good-bye BBF me and my family have shared many great years together, I am sorry to see us part this way...

Duce, I am sorry to see you decide to leave over this matter and i am glad it is now resolved (so to speak of).

I do understand some of the actions you have decided to take myself having a family of my own as well.

That really is a shame that a fellow member can't show a decent amount of maturity Duce. As a GC and member of this community I apologize for their actions even though I don't know who they are and I am sorry to see you go.

You will find people that make such mistakes no matter where you go in life. BBF over all is a great place with good people. Even good people sometime make mistakes, it is a sad part of life. Here I like to think we "guide" some in the right direction because that is the right thing to do. I hope if this is a member we can help them to learn and grow. Sorry to see you go.
