The motherboard was picked due it's compatibility with DDR2 and DDR3 as well as full support for old AMD procs AND the new Hex Cores (1100T anyone??).

The Proc was part of a bundle with the MOBO at tiger direct.

Can run all of my games at pretty decent settings and maintains a 55+ frame rate (except GTA IV which only gets an avg of about 30 - max of 90 depending on where I am in LC).

Not the baddest rig on the block, but I have no complaints. This one along with the PC I gave to my kids only cost me around $900 total. Thats a dual core and a quad core system for the price some pay for a dual core!

It is also my first build, a "test the water" kind of thing.

I am going to upgrade my vid card and CPU cooler when BF3 releases. Right now I can run everything except like Morpheus, GTA4 at over 50 fps maxed out (run at 25-45 on GTA 4 maxed.)

I might pick up an ssd at somepoint, but it probably wont be soon.

smiggy has the cpu coller blowing air upwards, so i thought it will be better with temps if he make it <- this way
