I am COMPLETELY freaking out!!

I can't lie, when I saw that they decided to bring the Nintendo World Championships back the little kid in me was pumped. Thoughts of the Fred Savage movie "The Wizard" instantly jumped into my mind and I thought to myself, I can finally do it! Then I realized that I live in New York, a flight to L.A isn't realistic and haven't seriously played Nintendo games in ages. So unless I somehow figured out how to make a real warp whistle to take me there, it's unlikely that I'll be in attendance. :lol:

It really is cool that they brought it back again though. Nintendo has needed to do this for far too long. It makes me wonder if this is being done because of the eventual launch of the Nintendo NX? Trying to gain the respect of the community by focusing on the competitive side of gaming again? If the NX hardware was capable enough to compete and possibly usurp the current offerings from MS and Sony, they would easily have the opportunity to be labeled as the competitive gamers console if they market it correctly as well as go all in and offer serious "Valve" like prize pools. I really hope they succeed regardless with the NX, the world needs another Nintendo system that's taken seriously again. Plus....I really need to finally see a new Metroid, it's been too long.

Are there any contests in your area to win tickets? If there are spam the heck out of those phone lines! Actually.....There may be openings for floor workers available? If you're willing to put on a 200lb Yoshi costume, that's 130f degrees and take pictures with attendees you're probably good to go!:lol: Maybe even pull a Solid Snake and just grab a cardboard box to infiltrate the expo. If nothing else they may just feel bad for you and let you in!:lol:
