Windows 10 was created by [BBF]DetroOps

For any of you who are considering update to the preview build keep these facts in mind:
If you upgrade from your current version of windows (i.e 7, 8, 8.1) you will most likely lose your free upgrade to 10 on July 29th
There are a few bugs I have encountered (start button not working, buttons on task bar not working) Fixed by restart
We now also have Cortana, kinda like Siri, and she can be voice activated (if you want) or there is a search bar automatically on your taskbar (yes you can hide it) and its great because she can set reminders for you. (For those lazy college students out there)

In short it is Windows 7 with the Windows 8 simplistic and clean look.

If you're looking to test out windows 10 for yourself, and you have a spare hard drive, you can partition a part of that hard drive to install windows on, link here on how to do it specifically --->

Steam is great, gaming performance is alright. Really only have played dishonored and 7 days to die on it. I'll test more games and follow up.

Waiting on the free upgrade july 29 but looks fine to me. Like you said its kinda like a win 7 and 8 mix but looks much cleaner. As long as I can make very small taskbars and icons I'm real fine with it all assuming BF4 and Hardline works fine.
