Recently, you may have noticed some interruptions or changes in the quality of your service. If your server has been slow or unavailable, you are likely experiencing the effects of several massive DDoS attacks we have received over the past few weeks. These attacks are not necessarily targeting your server, but rather they are attacks on the Lightspeed Gaming network.

Providing stable and reliable voice communication for our customers is very important to us. Our network currently has DDoS mitigation in place, which normally allows us to filter these attacks with minimal effect on your server. Our mitigation system filters 95%+ of attacks without any impact to services.

In order to increase the effectiveness of our DDoS mitigation system and ensure your service is less likely to be disrupted during these attacks, we are switching (TeamSpeak 3 Servers) port numbers to a more protected port range. To take advantage of the protected port range, you and your users will need to connect using your own unique server address which we will be assigning. These server addresses themselves not be changed and will be used to connect without a port number. If you wish to change your newly assigned server address you can purchase a custom hostname for your server and assign a custom hostname that you see fit for your group.
