Well, the day is Sunday, 9:01 PM EST, and I was freaking out yesterday at 5:30 PM, thinking all about Rapture Day (Judgement Day), which was a calculation by which had been made by a Family Christian News Radio Spokesman, Harold Camping. I had the World Clock open, the CNN news open, FOXnews, Washington Post, BING NEWS (under search: May 21)....when it hit 6:00 PM, I constantly refreshed each and every page until about 6:50 PM, while clicking new tabs and reading results, REALIZING that it was 6:52 PM, and nothing happened. I was like, "Yaaaaaa....I am going to go take a long nap...." I was pissed. Anyone else hear of this 'Judgement Day'?

didnt think it would happen so i BBQed for the family :P i did get on the internet around 6:30 PST and check the news and nothing happened so yeah....im still here >.>

Heard about it and shrugged it off because i doubted it was going to happen, but i read about a Joke that people were going to do that i thought would have been hilarious but cruel at the same time for those who did believe it, they were going to take sex blow up dolls, fill them with helium and put a bit of clothes on them, and let them float into the sky and watch all the believers panic. I'm not sure if that would have worked, but like i said hilarious and cruel at the same time if it did work.

People actually DID believe it was going to happen? All from what i was hearing, everyone was just making massive jokes about it.
Wouldn't be the first time Christians are wrong about something.

This is the second or third time this same guy predicted the end of the earth i guess he is just shrugging it off as another mathmatical error.

I know nothing was going to happen just like the y2k ordeal.

Now December 2012 thats scary stuff lol

To put things in perspective:

This was a case of "Rapture" - Meaning that all of the Godly people would be brought up to be with God in Heaven.

Armageddon - Means the end of the world, or the beginning of the final judgement (IE: Apocalypse) for all of mankind.

Even though the Rapture marks the beginning of the apocolypse, they are still two very different events.

This is not the first time a fruit cake swore the end or the rapture was coming.

Anyone that knows the bible also knows that it tells you in Revelations (and other places through out) that NO man will know the exact date or time that either of these will happen.

I wasn't even mildly worried.............I'm ready for whatever!!

Yep - they were giving away everything they owned to prepare for it. I'm sure God saw it as unselfish, but was prolly like "Really?? You guys think HE knows when this is going to happen?? lol".

They are calling his followers somewhat of a cultist group he is in a way controlling their minds by controling their thoughts so his followers will prob stay with him until something major happens

Next on my list, 2012, and i'll probably survive that too. The fact of the matter is no person can truly say they know when the end of the world is coming, because lets face it, iut doesn't matter, we put to much focus on the after life and when its coming we end up turning the life we live into a hell in preperation for the heaven thats not even garunteed. When we stop, we focus on the hear and now, and make this a better world, we'll live a lifetime in heaven and if it exists our good deeds of making this world a heaven will garunteed us a spot there in the after life.
