I was thinking about how I was going to come about cleaning my whole PC from the inside out, and I came across an idea for BBF.

I suggest for a Baptized By Fire "Technical" Night. We pick a night best for our members to be available, and we discuss/go over a program or item used by many others for editing, programming, recording, etc. For example, an officer will post a thread saying that we will be discussing/teaching (go over) Microsoft Word (or WMM, any example) the following week. At a specific chosen time, volunteers before hand will provide attendees/members with information about the product, and provide with a free sample of the product, ranging from a free trial, free download, a video, etc. Volunteers then will teach attendees/members on how to basically operate the product through Teamspeak.

I believe this will enhance the combination of communication and bonding throughout BBF's members and leaders. Thanks for hearing me out!

lol, just don't expect me to do a teaching on graphic design. Although I do have some tutorials written, two. They're ok. I'm just not the greatest teacher.

But to actually get someone in TS or whatever, or a bunch of people for a "tech night" would be very unlikely. Would have better luck just straight up contacting that person who you know knows that stuff or just writing about it in this forum asking for help.

That’s a great idea the only issue I can see is that we have some members that feel that they know everything about all technical issues and won't take advice or suggestions from others and even will argue facts. (Sort of like if you tried to sell me a Ford)

If this discussion is in TS or on forums someone will need to monitor it so no one gets offended or no one person talks and talks and talks like some members seem to do.

its a great idea Will but like Munkey said it would be hard to get a bunch or even a few memebers together for something like this (beings that its hard enough to have enough members show up for practices.) plus the timezones can and will more than likely be a problem. also like chaser said its unfortunate but there would have to be a channel monitor in there to listen to the discussion also. i think some GC's and anyone higher then GC should be the only channel monitors.

example lets say Chaser and Munkey are argueing about something. Chaser believes without a doubt he is right and Munkey thinks Chaser is totally wrong. and as chaser is explaining his thoughts on it munkey interupts him and tells him he is wrong. then when Munkey tries to public his thoughts on the subject Chaser tells Munkey that he is wrong. well eventually this would lead to an arguement between the two of them. well if no one is in the channel that KNOWS the clan charter rules about such things then you would just have two members argueing. also there should absolutly be a channel monitor that is unbais and will not take sides on who is right and who is wrong.

so yea if these few problems can be avoided and everyone shows up and gets along then yea Will this is a great idea.

And ya know, we can moderate or monitor discussions on the forums too. Alot of mods/admins.
