So this is an odd question I know but….

Today the fiancée found a package on our door step from UPS which she thought was from my mom so she opened it and to her surprise it was a headset. She checked the invoice and package label, our address was on both but the name wasn’t either of ours.

The headset says it was shipped for Freedom USA Inc I did a little research and it's an online computer store like Newegg here is there link <a class="postlink" href="www.avadirect.com">www.avadirect.com

Now if someone here loves me so much they sent it to me than I think a proper thank you is necessary now if someone sent to my address by mistake PM me with some information so I can get it back to you.

Now if no one here sent it then what should I do? Call UPS? Keep it? Wait a week or so nto see what happens or what?

Not me.
But the law says if you are sent something and did not ask for it then you can keep it. I would say save the box. use the headset if you like and then if someone comes calling for money or the headset, just tell them "I can box it and send it back but only COD because I am not paying for the shipping"
Most likely one of our cool members sent it though. Hey free stuff cool..

If I had a phone book I would look the recipient up but I think it's their fault for putting the wrong address on the package ill give it a week or so and see if anyone comes a knocking for their package.

My neighbor finally realized the mistake and came knocking on the door. I was glad they did because it was a younger kid.

I was going to try and look the name up tomorrow in the white pages (don’t have a phone book here) and I would of contacted UPS as well I know how much my headset cost and those were better than mine so I would have been upset it I ordered a headset and someone kept it. My first priority was to try and figure out what my legal obligations were before I did anything to with it or delivered it to anyone.

No worries but I should of asked that kid what game he plays dang lol.

The next knock at the door could be the cops. He may have use a stollen CC and oder things in the mail and used you for a drop. That way if the holder of the CC looks at who and what his CC was use for they will come to you.

Considering I looked in the white pages for the recipient's name and found out there address is 425 mine is 427 ill direct the POPO to that addy lol.

At first the kid sounded like the police banging on my door all loud I was like umm WTF and was a little angry since I just put the baby down. He asked if I got a package and I asked him what was in the package he said a turtle beach headset so I said ok its right over there.

We said we are sorry we opened it we thought it was a package we were looking for he said it's ok I'm just glad it's over here he said he needs to go hook it up because people in game are talking trash to him and I just laughed. I wanted to tell him that they are great headsets and talk to him but he seemed a little anxious. I am sure he bought it with his own X-mas money and was very proud of it so I'm not to worried about it.

I'm real glad I didn’t have to waste my time seeking out the recipient though.
