Teamwork. . . was created by Mor9heus

Definition of TEAMWORK: work done by several associates with each doing a part but all subordinating personal prominence to the efficiency of the whole .

This is the proper definition of the word, but it actually goes much deeper than this. Teamwork can be defined by a persons temperment, attitude and willingness to take a hit for a team mate.

Teamwork can be determined by the actions of a single person on a team, or the team as a whole.

I am constantly reminded of how important teamwork is when I am in an MP game like BLOPS. It's hard to effectively communicate with your team when you are not in TS, but the in game chat system is useful and somewhat deceiptful tool for telling team mates where the enemy that killed you is. Of course the trade off is that you will be vurnerable while typing your msg. The deception comes in when you do it in public chat, then tell your team to flank left or right, depending on what you just chatted publicly.

I see people who play like it is only them in game, and sometimes I, too, fall prey to that dilema. The key is to always play with your team mates in mind. Put them before yourself and make sure you protect them and communicate at all times.

Also keep in mind that even if you are the worst player on that team, it only matters if you were not helping your team mates. IMO, if the worst player on my team went 2-22 but was telling the team where he died at and by who, then his score matters not. He helped the team which means way more, even if my team loses.

On the flip side of the coin, if you are the best player on the team, don't be a sore winner. Saying how bad your team was, or how you carried the team is only going to make people resent the fact that you were even in game, even if it was true. Instead, work on building up your team mates. I've seen good players play horribly because a better player was putting them down and bad players play great when they were given encouragement.

I know, why am I posting this? Right? Well, it was brought on by a player on another server that was just killing everyone, but was saying how bad his team sucks and how it should just be him on the team by himself. I believe that his team played the way they did because of what he was saying. He even cursed out the last place person on his team more than once.

So, keep this in mind when you're on a team, communicate, encourage and celebrate, the easiest way to win is when everyone is on the same page!!

Yes Morpheus, I take side on this matter. I also do believe that teamwork is a necessity wherever you go with your game. Thanks for bringing this up Morph.

teamwork? blah who needs it? lol im just joking. As some of you know when I talk about BLOPs practice probably the most mentioned thing i say is "we are doing this practice for the teamwork that is required to win or succeede" or atleast something close to that. the only way to work on teamwork and improve your teamwork skills is to imagine this your actually have to put in some effort and practice teamwork. teamwork is something you dont just do you have to learn how to do teamwork and the best way to do something to help the team you are working with.

all please remember WE ARE family here and at some point in someones life they may need some help and by you helping them work through something is considered teamwork because it took two people to accomplish one goal. advice and common sense and genoriousity all go into teamwork.

Morph I agree and to make a good team you need communication so if you can then get in TS don’t be shy we are all friends here and when we are playing a serious game stop talking.

Their has been multiple times I have tried to relay info and couldn’t because so dang many people were talking gibberish not related to the game.

During practice and scrims let's try to keep the chatter down as well if we has a suspected hacker in game it makes it easy on us all.

yes during practices it is essential for the teams to keep their TS chatter to a minimium and potential hacker times are when the admins need to most silence in TS. granted yes we suspect hackers but it mkaes it harder for admins to communicate in the same channel when you got several people trying to talk over each other, unless an admin pulls the other admins out of the channel and they go to a different channel
