Keep in mind I am running a laptop, so I doubt I will be able to upgrade anytime soon.
My specs are
Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 Intel PM45
Nvidia 9800MGTS w/ 1gb GDDR3.
4 Gb DDR3 ram 1066mhz
I am using WiFi as my connection right now, but even on servers with a ping of 80 or below, I still get lag.
I know I am not overheating because I recently purchased

Mouse is unresponsive, it's incredibly slow, and the cutscenes freeze sometimes. It's on pretty much lowest graphics, but my rig should have no issues with high no AA

That's what I wanted to know!
hisgun, monitor does not play a part in graphical settings, apart from resolution and refresh capabilities
It is your CPU and GPU, primarily, which process the game. CPU handles the engine, GPU handles the graphics, to put it very simply.
His laptop should be able to run it no issues one low-med graphics... the wonderful thing about the COD engine is that it is very lightweight.
However, my rig should have no issues running it at high settings, but I am lagging at lowest in SP.
