INFO

Looks like a slow moving monster will be heading into the Gulf some time this weekend (or sooner).

Make preperations and stay safe if you are in an affected area!

Ok - this thing took a detour and is now crossing over from Alabama into GA and is causing multiple tornadoes. As of now, 52 counties are under a tornado watch and about 9 of them under warnings.

Check out the RADAR. Zoom out to see where it is projected to go next.

I may not be around too much today and dependeing where these storms hit, I may not be around at all.

Will update tomorrow or asap.

All good!

Storms are passing us and moving up to the mid and eastern east coast. Had some damage to property (others did) but nothing real serious.

So unless it changes direction again - we are out of it's path - those in TN and the Carolinas should prepare is they haven't already.

Glad you're safe. Is it normal for so many earthquakes/storms/tornadoes to be flying around all over the place? Maybe I've just always been oblivious before now.

Yes it is normal...........to an extent.

Washington area rarely (correct me if I'm wrong) has earthquakes. GA doesn't have tornadoes like this and the hurricanes don't usually develop as fast as they are now. Also, GA got 7 inches of snow the year before last and we got like 5 last year - weird for us!

I think this is in coalation to the upcoming solstice that is going to take place next year. You know, when all of the planets are going to allign and doomsayers are predicting will be the end of the world? Yeah, no, I think our weather is going to be increasingly worse until after the allignment. It my seem like the end for some, but many more will be unaffected.

omg was it that huge storm that hit VA around 1-5 am this morning? I swear! That, in all of my years of life was the worst thunder-storm I've been woken up** from. Heh, funny because I woke up 3 times this morning (I get up at 5 AM to get ready for school everyday (( yay senior year :P ))), first was because I dreamt about 8 teeth in my mouth fell out and looked all decomposed already, second was a RR break, and the third, which was around 3 this morning was the storm at fault. For a while in my "secretive" dreams, I thought there was a storm above me that was super loud. The biggest one woke me up and I was scared to get out of bed to even turn on the lights.

got carried away there with the RL situation but at school today power went out for about 30 seconds and all the preppy girls in my class were moaning scared :)

Figures, it rolls through our drought ridden state with little more than 3 inches accumalation but drops 12" north of us with massive thunderstorms.

Yay, GA!

Yeah, I'm in Penna. Massive flooding here, worst since Hurricane Agnes in 1972!
I had 18" of water in my basement, and found out my sump pump doesn't work. We got on a waiting list for a fire company to pump it out, but they never showed. I'm sure they had hundreds to do....Anyway, after 24 hrs. it all but drained itself. Now the clean up begins, pics on Facebook.

Lots of roads torn up, bridges out, houses down, pretty ugly to say the least. We were one of the lucky ones.:thumb:
