Finally.. a SSD with enough space to run SW:TOR! =) It's not the best or fastest SSD on the market.. but it's still pretty fast.

Sweet, I heard alot of good things about Kingston.

You're really splitting hairs when it comes down to SSD performance - and to me, size is every bit as important. Obviously 60-90GB drives are often affordable ($100-150), but you find that space to be surprisingly restrictive especially for MMO-type games which tend to bloat on space (SW:TOR is HUGE).

The real question is whether or not you have a Sata-III Drive/Motherboard as the upgrade to 6GB/s allows you to actually benefit from SSD speeds over 300MB/sec - but even if you're only dealing with Sata-II you can still peak at 300MB/sec.

This one here is spec'd at 230MB/sec read, 180MB/sec write.

I had to use 8 of them in a portable enclosure (yes, 4TB worth of SSD) recently on a project to migrate a massive amount of data for a time-sensitive project where I didn't want to risk the failure of a mechanical drive in transit. Now with the project over, I have a pair of them to play with =)

Certainly a heck of a lot better than paying $800+/each for the drives!! =)

I was chompin at the bit for days................the guy that got placed didn't realise what they were! DOH!
