I seem to remember something like this from years back in a particular "cookbook". It involved gluing the envelope to a box full of rocks/bricks/lead/<insert heavy object here>.

Thank you, Akkim! I've been supporting OWS since it started and envied that i didnt live in a big city to help the protests. This is a great way to help out the movement. Thank you for sharing.
I suggest you all help out and support the OWS movement, because it not only affects your future but the future of your kids. Put an end to economic inequality and corrruption in Wall Street.

Btw, heres a poster i designed a couple weeks ago in support of OWS

...but what if I'm the 1%? =)

I don't necessarily know where I stand with regards to OWS. Not for nothing, but when it's a bunch of college kids that came out, partied their brains out on the money their PARENTS paid for them to go to college.. I'm really not all that supportive of it.

Call me the upper half of the 99%.. I'm okay with that. I've struggled through financial hardships over the last couple of years, but I haven't been crying and whining because Uncle Sam hasn't bailed me out.. I've put my nose to the grindstone, I worked hard - I actually was the person hired out of 127 candidates for my position, etc..

So I'm not trying to be mean.. but there's a lot to be said for hard work and effort.. and I really feel a big chunk of that 99% doesn't really quite subscribe to that ethos.. =(

The protesters arent crying for a bailout... they are crying because the BANKS got one, because apparently they are too big to fail and the citizens aren't too big to fail. It's more of a fight for fairness, I believe, instead of the government spoon-feeding you money and a job. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

The problem is the protesters really don't have a unified front. They don't have a unified message. I've seen it first-hand in Boston. I've seen the good, the bad and the bland of it. It's really not working all that well. It's more of a nuisance than it is an effective means to an end.

Don't get me wrong.. I hate the way things are too.. but I don't think the message is really clear as people hope from this stuff!

I read somewhere that the fact they don't have a single goal or demanding specific things or have leaders or faces of the movement is so if they did, they would start seperating and start their own little protest and they wouldn't be one big protest.
I'd say give it more time. I don't foresee these protests going away.

There will come a point at which the cost of supporting the protests becomes too big of a burden and they will lose some of the amenities they are being provided and the protests will either cease - or turn problematic.

There's a huge cost - the added security, the provisioning of utilities (power, bathrooms, trash cleanup, etc) - that eventually will reach a tipping point on city budgets... cities are not going to go too far into the red to support the occupy movement.

I'm "lucky" enough to be able to see these protests first hand.. =)
