I got off work about 12:20 AM West Coast time and tried to get on the BBF forums ( I check things every night) but could not get on. So I checked TS. It was Down too. I thought maybe I could catch someone in Minecraft and see what was going on.... It was down Too. Facebook was the only place that seemed to have BBF people and it listed some games they were activly playing. Man I was starting to freaked out a little. It was like someone had gone and wipped out all of BBF. But seeing our guys listed as playing, helped a little. Then around 2:00 AM I tried again and everything, the Froums, TS and Minecraft all worked. Very strange.

Nice to see you are all here and all is right with the world......OK forget the world part but it is great that some how BBF did not get wipped off the earth..
I know what your all going to say to that. As long as you guys are alive so is BBF, it's not a place. It's all of you....I know that

Hisgun, it may have been your DNS (TS, Minecraft, and the website are all on the same nameservers). Run that ipconfig /flushdns the next time it happens to see if it resolves the issue.

It was down for me as well last night between midnight and 2am PST.

DK broke it. They had some planned maintenance...so I told him to let us know when this is the case. He said it will be 1-2 times per year this might happen.

We'll see...

I can increase the TTL on mine. and ts. subdomains though which should at least prevent any issues reaching those services.

See it was not my brain on drugs, my spelling is not all that bad and it was most likely the DNS (whatever that is). Paco is going to increase the TTL (whatever that is) and maybe that will fix it.

TTL - Time To Live - Basically, how long your PC should cache (store) the DNS record before requesting it again.

When you type in www.clanbbf.com in your browser, your PC goes out to your DNS server and asks "where do I find this address", then the DNS server either has it cached, or has to go look for it. It ends up returning an IP for you so your machine knows what IP to go look for. At least, that's how I understand it.

Now all the routing that takes place on the Internet, that's a different story....and beyond what I really know.
