That's way worse than the Marchand one. Hamhuis initiated the check, initiated it with Lucic's knee against the flow. No penalty. Hamhuis went off the ice because it hurt him.

Yep, Raymond on Marchand. Ironic, no? Pretty sure no Penalty was assessed.

So here's the one that became a 5-minute Major for Clipping ::



Salo has Marchand by about 8" - straightens up for a high hit, Marchand ducks it, gets the back of Salo's legs as he spins and Salo not only goes ass over teakettle, but then flings his stick into the stands which should be a huge issue.

BTW.. if you don't think the Refs screwed that game up in all sorts of ways - you'd be going uphill against a lot of people, including the refs ::

Now that said, it's bad blood between the teams, but it's certainly not consistently called - and Marchand's famous flip of Sedin?



Bottom line is they screwed the pooch when they punted Lucic who was LEGALLY on the ice protecting Thornton. They called Marchand for a 5-minute major when they've seen the same by the Canucks and not called it.

There's a reason most of Canada rooted against the Canucks last year.. and this game is only going to encourage the same if the Canucks make it back =)

But Canada always roots for their teams to win the cup, but they never win. Instead, they get butthurt and riot. I hope Minnesota gets back into first place and wins the division instead of Vancouver, but i probably know that isnt going to happen. :s
