Help for new Custom Budget builders $670 was created by [BBF]sleepwalker

I have been asked same questions many times lately
"Hey Sleep i need to get a new computer hopefully under 800 with tax"
so i thought i would just post it here.

I think $800 budget is enough to build a middle class gaming rig.

CPU: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz AM3+
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6819103996
- even though this CPU is considered low end quad core, with little bit of overclocking (to be honest, not little), you can get 25% more speed out of this one.
- Stock speed at 3.6ghz but it will overclock to 4.6ghz with no problem.
- gameplay of STALKER, stock speed will give you 92 fps, after 4.6ghz overclock, it is at 111 fps.

Motherboard: MSI 870A-G54
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6813130632
- USB 3.0, SATA 6g/s support

Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6820104262
- 1600 speed
- solid rams

GPU: ASUS HD7770
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6814121559
- this would be light class GPU
- will run many new games with midium or lower settings at full frames.

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 V2 500W
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6817139027
- solid power supply
- will supply stable clean power for overclocking cpu

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB Sata 6g/s
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6822136770
- since this is a budget build, we can't go for a SSD.
- Sata 6g/s will give boost on the drive

Case: Antec Gaming Series One Black
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6811129181
- soild case at cheap price

CPU Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO
www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6835103099
- since we are overclocking the CPU, we need a good after market cooler
- not the best, but real good performance considering the price line!

This system came down to $670 at Newegg
after Rebate it falls at $650

Hmm. I just built my machine a little bit cheaper. I think it rocks...

CPU/GPU: AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819106001

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231460

SSD: OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820227726

PSU: Rosewill CAPSTONE Series CAPSTONE-650 650W Continuous @ 50°C, 80 PLUS GOLD Certified
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817182071

MoBo: ASUS F1A75-M FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS (Sold Out now I guess)
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131768

Case: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition Gaming Chassis Mid Tower Steel Computer Case
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811133179

All of it was something like $600.

Couple Notes:
I went with the AMD APU (CPU+GPU) because of the cost effectiveness. I don't have a graphics card in my machine yet, but I have the option to do so at anytime. I also believe I can run it in crossfire with the 'onboard' graphics as well. I also kind of bought this on a whim, because a few of my friends and myself were curious to see how well the APU worked. I am super pleased. Also, you wont see a DVD drive here. I was planning on pulling the one out of my old machine, and hooking that machine up to my TV as a media center. Too bad I forgot the old thing was IDE. So I'm without, but I'd rather use flash memory anyways. DVDs are sooo 2008. haha. Also, I will never EVER buy a platter boot drive ever again in my life. Once you go SSD you will never go back - mine isn't even super high end.. [hr:qg5mheac][/hr:qg5mheac]
Couple more things, I used to be a crazy hardware tweaker guy - but I just don't have any time to do the research or think about it too much anymore. So if my choices aren't the best - don't totally tear me up but I definitely would like to know where I failed if you've got something to point out.

Also, there may be a better thread for this... but now that you know all my specs - Any recommendations for the GPU I should put in there? I'm willing to wait because I can run games fine at this point - so even if it's pricey.
