I missed the end of the game as i was at work...but caps rookie netminder Holtby is the newest flavor of the moment in sports.

I can think of three people who have begun the mourning process, 1 in clan(Akkim), 1 from work and another who is related to our very own CrimsonGhost.

I can only offer this advice(my redwings went out already)...crap I dont have anything to say, it sucks when your team gets bounced.

Though I do plan to avoid talking to all my Boston Co-workers today. I'll give it a few days to let everyone calm down.

:thumb: Hehe I didnt know you were a hockey fan, but I am pleasantly suprised. Regardless of who won or not it was a very entertaining series. 1st round for the most part has been fantastic.

It was a good, but relatively tame series. In the end the B's were just a bit too beat up to keep their run going. The loss of Horton early on was real harsh - it got a bit worse at the end with McQuaid unable to play in the post-season after taking a stick to the eye in the last week and Bergeron played in some massive pain if he was only taking a single face-off per game - meanwhile the Caps were healthy and benefited from Nevirth being hurt.

Still - 7 1-goal games.. if you're gonna lose a 7 game series by just 1 goal overall, I guess that's about as good of a way to go out.. now it's a long wait 'till September =(

I started watching hockey after I moved to DC. Last year I was given free fantastic seats to a game. Watching a game live in $200+ seats for free and seeing the caps play tends to give you a positive outlook on hockey.

Where I moved from only had a minor league team so I never watched it.

If I had a better work schedule where I knew when I would be home and not home I would get tickets to the next round of home games but I don't think it will be possible :(
