Really not a lot out about it yet, but as you can kind of guess from the game info, we're looking at a LOTR-based MOBA. =)

It's fun finally being able to talk about a few of the things that've been in production for a while... and moreso after E3 next week!

Akkim are you like invited to E3 events and stuff?

-Also will this game be F2P? They must realize that games are only successful if they're going F2P with premium points for skins like Riot Games has done. They won't be able to keep up with Riot if they're going to make this a monthly subscription or some poop.

Turbine has always done good with F2P (LOTRO, DDO) - so we're not really new to it. The biggest challenge I imagine will be what the IP Owners allow the studio to do (which can be surprisingly limiting). Many people stop and realize shortly into a MTX/F2P environment is that they would prefer a subscription - it's often cheaper! =)

As for Events.. yup. If I wanna go to them, I can go to them and work the booths, etc. I worked PAX East this year and while I'm not doing E3 (bad timing), there's still a few other key conventions I might end up heading to. =) I like to go with the wife, but it's hard doing events with all the kids we have.

do you get invited or do you just volunteer or sign up? because i might be interested in attending them too and working the booth if it's possible for anyone to sign up/volunteer.

I always get invited because I work for the company and generally I'm pretty good with people! =) We take volunteers (internally) across the staff to flush out the rest of the booth attendees outside of special cases (title creators like Suda 51, etc).

It's part of the fun of working in the industry, imo! =)

Turbine (WB Games). They're always hiring across all of WB's studios and that includes testers. Most testers do not get paid overly well and are frequently temporary in nature (repeatable contracts, etc).
