I dont understand this latest batch of changes.. this site is a PITA to navigate now..

I have to agree, I found it difficult to navigate to the forum portals.

I appreciate the feedback John. For what it's worth, I sent an email to your old work address explaining the situation I can only assume you didn't receive it.

There was an issue that I caused with the forums that brought the navbar down. Things like this just go to prove that I am as human as everyone else and that I make mistakes. I spent most of the morning rebuilding the navbar from scratch without taking the site down. If site visitors don't appreciate me doing my best to keep the site available during time I am working, then I will bring the forums down for maintenance when I am working on them from now on.

As you can probably see, there is now a navbar in place. It still does not 100% match the previous version, but I have reached my limit for the day and I need to get some sleep. I'll continue to work on the issue tomorrow until the situation is resolved to my liking.

what happened to it?
i do suggest that if you are going to be making changes to teh site that maybe once a month do a download of the entire site, so you have it at your home, and can upload parts back if something goes sideways.

I have no issues with what you have done to the site, we just need to remember this is a production site... its all good

Hey f1shman if you need a hand let me know and ill be glad too help.. Dw about your mistake im sure we've all made mistakes and i don't really see an issue with it.. I can navigate just fine.

The site should be fully restored now. If anyone encounters any issues send me a PM.

also.. another suggestion.. next time someting happens that breaks php code, you can always take a backup of the database, restore the site through its panel.clanbbf.com interface, then restore the latest database dump you did. there are many ways around it
but it does look much better.
