needing help with xbox live

needing help with xbox live was created by [s*8]COMMANDER

what is the cheepist/easyist way to get xbox live?
im wanting to get xbox live for the main reasin of my comp is not working (still) but i need a way of getting it with wireless enternet (sprint moble broad band) but all the ways at xbox.com are for wired enternet or do i just use a phone line? please tell me how cuz im sick of playing by myself


ps. i have not looked for a post related to this so please tell me if there is one

do you have a laptop with a wireless card and an ethernet port? or really any 2 internet connections available on a single computer near your xbox will work.

There is a way to connect to the internet using a shared internet connection, but you need a wireless card and an ethernet port or 2 (or more) ethernet ports to be able to do it. Theres a good setup guide on the xbox main page, if you search somethign to the effect of "how do i connect using ICS" or "...using a shared internet connection".

if you still cant figure it out i can try to walk you through it, just let me know

your ethernet port is wherever you are currently connecting your internet to your computer system. Should look a bit like a phone jack but a little larger.

here is a link to the MS support setup guide for internet connection sharing:

if you go through and follow those steps you should be able to get it up and running fairly easily

to use xbox live you will need a hard drive or some sort of large storage device(i think you can use flash drives now, but i dont know how)
