I went to the site and saw the free download, but is this game totally seperate from the other CoH games? Like can you not play with those games with this one? Is it its own stand alone game?

Yes it is separate from the disc versions of COH. If you enter your old disc codes you get XP, supply and some loot. I think you can enter up to three codes.
