So for awhile now I have been looking for a Video game recorder/editor software; I have been using Fraps and WMM for the last 12 counter strike source videos I have made, and have been researching for better software to use to my needs. I'm looking for something from what Smi|es had.

Just an Intermediate one will do. Please, if you guys can, help me by giving me some links to free (<-- not much out there but trials), or if the editor is good enough ill spend a few bucks on the real thing.

Try looking up open source video editors.The Linux community is always releasing software that is made for cross platform and sometimes the stuff they come out with is better than pro software.

Here is one I just found - Open Movie Editor - I have not used this - but you should be able to find some more info online.

Scratch that - it isn't for Windows.........when you search, put your version of windows behind the search - like this "open source video editor windows 7"
