E3: PS4 vs. XBOX ONE

E3: PS4 vs. XBOX ONE was created by [BBF]Smiggy

I didn't get a chance to watch the full E3 stream, but from first glance if I decided to get one of the consoles I'd go with a PS4. My reasonings:

-PS4 allows used games
-PS4 doesn't require 24 hour check ups
-I was a Sony kid
-not a big fan of Halo
-Definitely want to play the new Metal Gear Solid.

-Xbox One is $100 more expensive than the PS4
-Xbox One requires gold account for multiplayer online (more expensive than Sony's $60/year)

So yeah. In my eyes the PS4 is probably the console I'd pick up. I'll just make my friend buy Killer Instinct when it comes out and play it at his place. Btw, Killer Instinct was the best fighting game ever created.

What do you guys think? Will you be buying a Xbox One or a PS4? What are your reasons?

Haven't seen them yet, but if I had to choose, it would be the ps4 cause I missed out on the ps3 and I also was a Sony kid. Remember buying my first Playstation.

Lets put it like this

Specs - PS4 wins
Price - PS4 wins
Games - PS4 wins
Online - PS4 wins
Support for indie devs - PS4 wins

Xbox will have a couple nice exclusives but the fact that the PS4 is more powerful, cheaper and alot more friendly to the indie community and the used game community make it a win for me

from a gaming stand point I would choose a PS4 any day but from a entertainment view the xbox one wins hands down with it's ability to turn it into a cable box. I like the fact that I could change my tv channel by just telling it to change.

how much do you pay for a game system,cable box,blue ray player, and the ability to change your channel with your voice? I agree from the stand point of someone just wanting a game system go with a PS4 but if you are wanting a entertainment device the One is a clear winner. Microsoft is targeting a different demographic then the PS4. They are hoping to pull more family oriented tech savvy people in by combining these things in. Which would I choose? The PS4 but that's only because I don't really have a need for a home entertainment system like that and I do most of my gaming on my PC.

I'm sticking to the PC, with not limited frame rates, and can pretty much do everything, blue rays, netflix, games, TV (since my provider lets me watch on the computer!)

I agree Zodiac but with things like the Samsung Galaxy S4 you can control your TV or any TV for that matter with your phone and with voice activated TV's on the market then whats the use?

I like the concept but i guess i dont sit around watching TV as much as i used to i am 100% content with my DVR and $20.00 DVD player and my 46" TV lol.

I'll be sticking with my Wii U, but PS4 get's my vote, Multimedia is useless to me and between E3 and the xbox announcement Microsoft has obviously lost touch with gamer's and want's to sell VCR's instead. Also if the xbox is always listening what happens when i say "bad cat get -OFF- the counter!" during a game?
