Hey figured I'd post this up to gauge interest since we currently lack an MMO title in the guild and these 2 appear to be the upcoming main games this year, with both being Free to play games with a more sandboxy nature, I figure both fit the guild fairly well also. so pros and cons are

EverQuest Next
Pros
-Full Desructability, You see that mountain in the way? smash a tunnel through it and continue on your way
-Full Class mixing 40 classes which you cna pick and chooe skills and traits from to make your own class
-Living AI, kill all the orcs in a camp and then burn the tents down? Well dont expect them back tomorrow.
-Death penalties
-Player Studio, Build an awesome castle and then sell it as a template to someone for real money

Cons
-Player studios real money part
-Sony is involved
-founders kits
-cat people look ugly

ArcheAge
Pros
-Open World non instanced player housing/farming
-Ships, Gliders, Caravans, and trade routes
-Varied crafting professions
-Sea Piracy(YARR)
-World Bosses and instances
-You can be a fisherman(literally you can go build a boat and live a life on the sea fishing and upgrading your ship)
-Sieges

Cons
-Slightly outdated graphics?
-Slow curve with a bit of a grind to it for materials
-Korean game(not always a bad thing but sometimes)

Both games sound good. I have been watching EQN but I really like the sound of piracy in archeage lol.

I'm interested in ArcheAge I missed my beta access key but yeah looks awesome

Played archeage just now(yay weekend beta key) and my reaction is as follows

-LAAAAAME as all hell, plays like a generic korean MMO with nothing special about it until you hit the point where your bulding stuff, what level does that begin at later than I can stomach the horrible grind for

thus Everquest Next with it's non korean roots is the last good MMO of the year.

I've been playing EQN Landmark since alpha and I think it's tons of fun. It has super in-depth creation tools (think Minecraft but smooth and actually beautiful (provided your computer can handle it)), and grinding for materials isn't too bad in my opinion. It has a great, again imo, crafting system, and cave exploring with grappling hooks is pretty fun. Corruption if you have the beta I would love to play with you. I got a beta key for the ArcheAge beta week 4, but have not had much of a chance to play it as I have been working on moving into my dorm room at school. So far it's meh. Like Corruption said, it's generic, but I think once I can become a Salty Sea Dog I'll have more fun with it. Also subscribers are OP as a all get out.

as someone playing archeage the game is seems to be falling apart as it seem the game was set up as a cash grab,
I still have hope for EQN tho
