Yep- pretty fun so far. It was pretty difficult to figure out what we were doing the first few matches, but now that we have a understanding of the game and mechanics, we are doing pretty well... With a good team and communication, this could be a fun competitive game for the clan to get into.

Whats the combat style and battle modes for this? (i'll be looking into this game as it's one of the core Oculus rift games)

Kinda reminds me of unreal tournament in a mech. Main game modes are DM, TDM, Missile Assault (Headquarters), and Siege (capture energy and bring it back to base to launch your ship).

Definitely a twitch shooter, but comparing it to COD would be ignorant imo. It's very team driven, and a one-man army does little for an uncoordinated team.

I highly recommend that anyone even just interested in trying this game to join up with us while the game is still in open beta and giving away free test drives of a bunch of the mechs available.. this will help you decide what style of mech you like to use and figure out how you want to play... theres some variety, for sure.

When i first started I used a assault type mech, but eventually found that the most fun I have is using a grenadier and lobbing hell onto other mechs from a mile away.

If anyone signs up for Hawken, post your callsign in here and add each other to friends lists.
