I would use the 'ol 3 by 3 hut out of sponge, dirt, sand, gravel, etc.

Make it simple out of wood ( oak ) then add planks as your floor maybe an obsidian wall around it? :O How about an end stone temple?

Make a globe with Logic, make it out of wool, blue wool. Green wool, Dark blue wool, Dark green wool. And you could make a sun or a moon?, it would be a nice challeng. Then make your home inside the globe. :)
