Well i got home to check something on the server and couldn't connect looks like our host is having yet another string of issues.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon sorry guys if i could afford a better host i would.

It came back up but it is unplayable. I am thinking you are not getting what this guy says you are Chaser.
Also a server that is paid for no matter how cheap, if it does not work right is not a server its a liability that makes BBF look bad. As much as I like Minecraft I would vote no server is better then one that makes us look bad.

I agree with Hisgun. If the provider can't provide then maybe we should find a new one even if it is slightly less then what we are supposed to be getting from this one.

We are being provided with what they guarantee for the most part.

We pay for 2 servers running 8GB each and that's what were getting. They say he have a 99% uptime right now its looking like its at 95%.

Our host really isn't as bad as some of the others out their however i will continue with the tedious task of looking at others but remember we will likley have to pay 3x more then we are currently for what were getting.

Seems like a lot of our issues or should i say our hosts issues are related in their data center.

Even if we were to pay extra and switch hosts we may run into the same issue i they are using the same data center which alot of the cheaper hosts are doing because of the location of the data canter. The data center is located in Phoenix, Arizona which isn't a bad place but their are better locations like Chicago, Illinois or Dallas, Texas but those places run more expensive.

Just got the modded server back and now they are both still down. You need to tell the provider he needs to give a better discount if the server isn't going to be up most of the time.

Here's a quote from the host.

Dear all clients,

Our switch in PheonixNAP is currently having a tantrum of it's own and is causing some packet loss and in some cases, total loss of service.
We are in discussion with our provider to have a replacement switch to the cage as soon as possible, however we're trying to recover configuration from the current switch before this takes place.

We expect approximately 6-12 hours of outage / downtime. Your servers are still 'running', they're just not accessible from the front-end connections.


Raising a support ticket about this will not speed the process up.

From my understanding our host owns the server hardware. The hardware is located in a data center and that data center performs repairs and such.

This is because our host is located in California and the servers are in Arizona.

So the blame isn't really on the host or the data center is on faulty parts.
