Perhaps one way of decreasing the number of worlds could be to have the spawn in the freebuild world? It could be a large building that is floating in the air to the side of the large bridge. Anyone remember how some special dungeons were spawned on the surface, but the ground beneath it was literally cut from the ground and put int he air on korcraft? we could have something along those lines. Just an idea ;)

The number of worlds does not affect the server at all if you think about it each map actually has 3 maps (overworld, nether, theend)

The reason we separate spawn from freebuild is for a griefing reasons. Remember when Vyndorn was session stole and the server was practically blown up? Maybe not well we had a team of attackers come and managed to trick Vyn into joining a non-existent server and in doing so they were able to take over his session and since he was an op they were able to ban all admins, lock the server, and destroy spawn.

I would recommend giving Mods, admins, etc the right to kick or punish those that stalk and kill new players.. Players that are just coming on to the server are still trying to figure out the layout, gameplay, etc but are turned off by those that sit outside of a zone, or stalk them and kill them when they cross a certain area... I feel this needs to go away in order to attract and/or keep players if making zoned areas. Otherwise, even the play field and all are subject to the same rules and borders.

hence is why we ban for advertisement first offense. They used a session stealer which hyjacked my client and banned all the admins, and completely obliterated the spawn. If we such events do occur with hackers in the future, seperate spawns/freebuilds will minimise griefing on both sides.

also @ Ari. I do agree, somewhat. Players who fail to read signs that clearly state "PVP ahead" or "Danger: PVP enabled area" are at their own fault of dying, regardless if theyre new or not. However, in the past, we have had players who constantly harass the newer players. This is not to be tolerated. It is one thing to kill them and take their items if at their fault, but to purposely camp an area, such as portal or spawn is wrong. There is no pride and respect in harassing players, new ones at that.
