I think since this is a tie vote yet still (removing my vote yes its 9-9) would be to implement it for a week and re-vote after that week.

The only reason anyone would want to know what kinda block someone broke is so they can go kill them. Minecraft is not for PvP it is for building stuff I still do not understand why people do that. I guess I am not young enough to understand.

Minecraft is a Survival game which means players on multiplayer servers have to battles with both PVP and PVE.

Now the mining world as i said should be hard i dont think its really that hard (but i dont play or mine in the world). So in all reality is the mining world hard are you scared that if you spend 2-3 hours mining may result in your death by PVE, PVP, or personal mistakes?

Making the server "to easy" isn't going to help us at all.

This really isn't a hard question and im not so sure why everyone is so torn lol. My main goal as an admin is to see where our true interests lie that's why i said why not put it in for a week or so then have another poll at the end of that week.

As mentioned before the broadcasts will only be announced in the mining world and is configurable for specific ores/blocks.

I am actually surprised people haven't used this to their advantage in the past. Think of it in an alternate light "You are mining and you find a stash of diamonds so you fortify yourself and wait for someone to ambush you and retaliate".

Ill wait a few days before i decide to enable it or not the holidays are way to busy.

It can also be about adventuring with friends or watching the sun rise over a blocky ocean. It’s pretty. Brave players battle terrible things in The Nether, which is more scary than pretty. You can also visit a land of mushrooms if it sounds more like your cup of tea.

I don't see where it says that we should watch our backs from other players. If you could highlight that part maybe I am over looking it. If you want to make the the load mines hard just max out creature spawns. I am not against PvP that is what arenas are for. I get my PvP from playing games like CoD, BF3, and DayZ.

The game of Minecraft can be precieved in many different ways but saying its not a PVP games is really the wrong direction. Why add PVP if its not a PVP game? Sure the sole concept is not PVP much like COD or any other FPS game.

Minecraft and DayZ are actually a lot alike neither are really a sole PVP game however a huge portion of the games were created around both PVP and PVE.

I do believe enabling it for a week or so and really encouraging people to test it out is the best way to see whether or not we like it. Just like many other things on the server we try and then say humm this isn't really the goal we were trying to achieve lets change it try this and see where it gets us.

Many people weren't around when the break block announcements was there and i feel if we only enable it for things like diamond its not going to spam chat unless someone runs across a vein but then until they find more its not saying anything.

Again this is 1 world not all 10 and will only broadcast to those in the mining world. This means that people cant be awaiting for the announcement in other worlds. They actually have to be in the same world as the block being broke.

It is my opinion that if things stay the way they are, with no announcement on block breaks and the ridiculous 200m dig to diamond level, that the there should be no bonus ores. Turn off the plugin that creates bonus ore and just have it as a world that we can dig in and refresh whenever it is depleted. However if we want to have the luxury of bonus ores created by the plugin, there should be more risk to the players that enter the region.

My original vote was no, but I said I would change it to yes if specific circumstances got ment. I change that now to a full no. I would prefer no log messages. sad vyn = no taco
