This is the only real thing I could find on your exact problem. Looks like they just replaced the said "dayz_sfx.pbo" file with a new one from somebody that was able to get into the server and it accepted it. Have no idea if that would work or not, but if you can get your hands on that file from somebody else that the server works for, it may fix it.

Copy that into your @DayZ/Addons folder

If that doesn't work then do the following:

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead
Delete the folder named @Dayz as well as the DayZ.rar file (if you have one)
Reinstall 1.7.4.4 from DayZCommander and try again

I can disable signature checks if that doesn't work, which is okay with a low population, but it also means anyone can connect to the server. Let me know if the above works.


Edit: Also, do you have any speed caps on your internet?

I tried CE's file, deleted and re-installed Dayz and Namalsk. 1.7.6.1 is the newest dayz. If the server is running on 1.7.4.4 that might be the problem.

It will work on Namalsk, but you'll have problems if you try to play on a 6.1 vanilla server.
