Good news for those following the DayZ SA was created by [BBF]Zodiac13

So I was reading the DayZ mod forums and ran across this post dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/13812...rocket/#entry1351672 After reading the interview I can only guess that the game should be coming out in the near future. A lot of good info in that interview. Like the fact that people will be able to rent servers right from launch and the fact that they plan to do a soft launch on steam which means they may not even advertise it much. Rocket stated that "[font=Trebuchet MS:3l4rb7zq]The best thing for us is if we have a fairly soft release on steam, I don't think there will be any kind of announcement about it, it will just be there one day.[/font:3l4rb7zq]" So everyone keep a eye on steam and if you see it you best tell the rest of us lol. Seeing as how servers will be able to be rented from launch do we want to try and get our own or just pick a server and play on it? Also do we want to start recruiting for the clan now or should we wait till the game comes out? If there are no objections I will make a post on the DayZ forums recruiting for the stand alone.

"What kind of weapons are you planning?
All items and weapons are being redone, everything. One of our external artists did a lot of work on Grand Theft Auto and was quite a score for us. I'll just open the spreadsheet, we have got bolt action rifles, semi-auto hunting rifles, military style rifles, ruger, remmington shotguns, mauser, mosin-nagant. There is quite a lot of bolt action rifles, there is quite a bit of a mix, there is a lot of stuff you would expect in a Eastearn European country but we have also added in some military weapons like the m4a1. We aren't aiming for realism, we are aiming for authenticity so we make a few concessions, you might find a few scopes that fit quite a few weapons instead of one specific weapon."

Jump on the recruiting if you feel you can get people ahead of time. Lay out the ground work ( directed at all interested in this game) and keep people interested along the way.
