Civilization V ?
Hello everyone,
I was recently drawn back to Civ V and thought it would be good for popularity of the clan and also a nice activity to do when your bored or want to mess around. But this isnt where I game advertise. I want to know YOUR opinions on the game and if you think this could become a clan game? But although there isn't permanent servers you can create one. This would be a slow process but if you make servers and calling then [BBF] as a example and you talk about the clan there and play the game then they might check out the clan.

Basic Description:
In the game Civilization V, the player leads a civilization ( basically a empire ) from prehistoric times into the far fetched times ( future ). Once you start the game you will be shown a generated map where you'd begin your empire. The game consists of many winning / victory ways and also features such as: exploration ( feature ), diplomacy ( winning ), expansion ( Feature ), development ( feature ), military conquest ( winning ). There is a straight forward and easy combat system and cities can defend themselves by using bombardments. But you can also find city states. These are good ways to make friends and get resources or dominate them for land to expand your borders. And if your thinking how this can be a clan game then this has a multyplayer aspect making the experience more enjoyable.

I love the civ series and i do like that game in particular but, a game like this is quite hard to become supported. its more of a "just for fun" game.

I would love to play a game of Civ 5 with someone, but I agree with Mike. It's too difficult to set up a division for a game like Civ 5, which doesn't support drop in drop out, or where the games are long.

The problem with civ is well that it takes too much time and as a rts game its practically unviable to have it as a clan match game because it takes so bloady long We tried it way way back in the day when I was rts division command and it failed horribly good game to play amongst friends bad game to play as a game against other clans

Civ as a competitive clan vs clan game would be awesome, albeit having a full team of 5v5 sit down for a solid 8 hour match without too many breaks would be impossible(new gen of gamer's can't sit still that long(god i miss 12 hour FoW runs))

it is a good game! played it and liked it! it would be a nice addition to BBF!

I do like Civilization V, but as a clan game it takes like 6-8 hours at least to complete a game and that is just rediculous lol. I prefer the offline mode and stomp the AI :P

for those that are seriously interested... If you can get together and lay out a leadership structure and plan that the DC/RC can approve of, we will back you! See what you can get together!!

I like the game nearly as much as i liked Alpha Centauri...but I feel like it would come with the same multiplayer problems: The games are sooo long that at least one person will have to leave, or they'll go afk for awhile without warning. Resulting in a single game taking a week or two to finish. I'm down to try it and see if it works out though.
