I have been searching for, 4 days straight consuming my weekend in minecraft trying to find a mesa biome on my singleplayer. I went into the NBT files and changed my world type to amplified, cause it looks freaking cool. Then I started searching for a mesa biome in newly generated land. I have been searching in the warmer biomes like desert and savanna since the mesa is a warm biome. I am getting fed up with trying to find a mesa biome, and was checking to see if you guys had any ideas or know an easier way to find one. Even though I;m pretty sure as of right now there is no other way then to explore and try to find one.
Mesas can spawn on amplified worlds so that's not the problem.

I have yet to find one in my own Amplified survival map, but when on BBF, i have found a few, both located near/next to a desert and/or savannah biome(s).

It's much easier to keep genning new worlds then to find one by walking(unless you want one in an old world)
