I noticed you put that League is a (M) or mature rated game, which in fact it is rated (T) for TEEN. Esrb's rating description of Teen is the following:
Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or[size=medium] infrequent [/size]use of strong language.

There are some curse words that slip every now and again on TS. But I wouldn't say often enough to make a blanket statement for anyone who would be included in your ranked team to be ok with a constant rant of cursing. And I certainly would hope that you wouldn't exclude someone from your team, (especially if they are a great player) solely because you couldn't curse in their presence. One of the bold, and highlighted portions of the Rules post here in the BBF LoL division is [size=medium]NO SWEARING[/size].

Over all, I think that particular portion of your post could have been worded differently.

Byrn: No problem on the swearing. I'm easy on that one.

RE Practices: Okay, the time can easily be changed to accommodate some people's schedules. That's fine. What's not fine is not having practices. What I've seen in my years of LoL and trying to be on teams is that the teams are TOO flexible with scheduling, which results in the team and the enthusiasm to start petering out and eventually disappear altogether.

I don't want that to happen. I know it's exclusionary to be like "Practice is at X time, be there or be out", but what happens if there is a tournament at X time? I can't expect someone to miss work to go to a tournament, but I also can't expect to forfeit a tournament because our practice schedule is so flexible and people aren't available at the time of the actual tournament.

So we reach an impasse. How about this, if you are available to practice 3 days a week and are willing to commit to 3 days a week, we can work on the times on specific days. I was going to have the first practice this Monday, but a serious lack of replies stymied that, so I basically held off.

I'll do it next Monday if I get enough people who want to do it. PM me here, in game, or just reply to this thread. I'll do practice on Monday at 4pm PST.

I don't know how early everyone else goes to bed, but I work 2-4 night shifts a week till 9 PM EST, so 6 PM PST. I'd wajor, most of use also don't work much later then 9 as well, and I do understand many of us are also adults with full time jobs, but even showing up between 9-10 and practise running from whenever enough people show up until 11-12. That way it will coverr MOST people much better, and try and actually Plan more Day-Time practises around schedules. WITH the given schedule for Tourney's most of the part-timies such as myself can book them off with enough advance notice.

Here's the deal. You need several things to have a serious team.

1. Motivated players.
2. People who like each other enough to WANT to log in even for a practice.
3. Players willing to follow a leader without hesitation and without reserve. This is especially key in the early stages, and completely irrelevant after you play 100 games together.
4. Players willing to play any role at any time with little to no drop off in competence when swapping.
5. Motivated players.
6. And lastly ... MOTIVATED PLAYERS!!!

I am thinking.....motivated players are a must have! :-)

Well as I said before in here, I'd love to do this, but 4pm PST doesn't work for me, well, ANY night. I work most night till 9 or 10 EST, so that makes it 6 or 7 PST. You'd be done practicing by the time I got out. If you ever change your mind on time, let me know.

I would join- but practices run one hour too late for me. Personally from my own experience, i have learned its better to set up times after you get people for the team. Instead of excluding a lot of players from the get-go.

Okay, 7pm PST it is. Time is changed. Seems most people are available later.

As far as Motivated Players, I'm prior military and grew up in a military family. I follow instructions very well and expect my instructions to be followed when I'm in charge. However, just because I'm trying to put the team together does not mean I will be running the team (as far as in game). When we did the umk team, Wacky was the team creator/captain, but Blueshadow or Reynman called the shots in game. It worked well for the most part and we synergized fairly well. Unfortunately, we were never able to fill that 5th slot, and the team kind of fizzled out.

I want to do ranked. Period. I want to get the [BBF] name out there and have it be known as a high level of skillful, respectful, and respected play. We have a plethora of members, it's just a matter of getting the right mix of people together at the right time and molding into a team.

When I joined Wacky's team, I RARELY played ADC, but through TONS of practice, I feel pretty confident in my ADC now. It was the role I needed to fill on the team, and I put in the work to be effective. I have a certain level of expectation for people who want to be successful to be willing to put in the time and work to actually make themselves the best they can be at the role they fill on the team.
