im torn by this. it looks good and sounds good but from what i know it isnt a new concept. i have not looked into euclideon to see if they had done something new compared to the other voxel models and such so feel free to correct me. also it looks like the machine running this would be rendering a large amount of these little atoms, wouldnt this cause stability issues?

Hmm. Scam? not certain. I just thought it was interesting. The people I know who have seen it feel that it is real. He said\She said... Until the engine is seen and what it is used for is what is more interesting.

All I can say is that something is real as the Ausie government put some money into it:

What it's intended use is still in question. What I do know is that the next round of technology that is coming, and notch is correct, it is not new at all. I am hearing a lot of it maybe coming in the next round of consoles, which intern will be in the next generation of PC games as well.

Just think of what would be possible if it is real................

Completely destructible environments, disemberments that are more realistic................the damage that could be inflicted...........car that crumple like their real life counterparts..................bullet holes in enemies that look like a hole and not just a spot.

Wow...........that would be great.

I finally watched the video. It seems convincing, but I don't know anything about graphic design, 3 modeling, or how to make video games. lol

Would be cool though if things were much more detailed without having to buy another brand new video card every few years.
