Quake hit east coast: was created by [BBF] Itchy

Ok whi felt it and is everyone ok? Chy you are right out side of DC I know you felt it. My mom is in Delaware and she siad the house started to dance like crazy. She ran out side and she is in her 80's. I have not heard from my dad in is in the bay fishing close to the nuke power plant and the LP gas peirs.

So where were you when you felt it?

Didn't feel it - but heard about it and they say it measures 5.8!

I was in Midlothian (right outside of Richmond, VA). Lol, was on the xbox 360 upstairs bored out of my mind on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Split Screen Multi-player (by myself, with two other idle controllers). I felt my room shaking, I went out of my room, and new right then and there it was a quake. It was a first for me and everyone else in my household. Lasted for a good 20-30 seconds. Surprisingly, no injuries have been reported in my area and on the FOX news.

But, it worries me a little b/c of the May 20th-21st predictions about Judgement Day. It seemed to me like August 23rd is a little bit in the halfway zone of the 6 month period where everything is going to turn into hell. It just bothers me; doesn't matter b/c I have a successful life ahead of me.

I felt it in Charlotte thought I was crazy at first.

My sister lives about 20 min from there and she said her and her kids are ok.

Lol, I bet californians and other west-coaster's are laughing at you east coast people. They get quakes all the time. (well not all the time, but they get em often enuf. Idk im just a silly Wisconsinite).

Yes 5.8 is not big but when your building are not built to handle any Quake at all because we do not have them then yes 5.8 is big.

But that is what I told my kids that Cal has that close to everyday

Memohis has 100's everyday nothing big, they are doing what is called ''Fracking" in Ar. and ther has been a lot more in the last year or so. www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/03/ ... erts-warn/ but the last big one that hit here was 1811 / 1812 that rang bells coast to coast. earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/ ... 1-1812.php but with all of this fracking i feel they are pushing the next big one cloer and closer. They have been redoing all the buildings and roads for the next big one here. just hope it is a long time away.

Yeah im in cali and we really just dont feel earthquakes unless they are pretty big. Still 5.8 is huge for the east coast. Must be a new experience for a lot of people. glad everyone was fine.
