What were you doing 10 years ago when the planes struck the twin towers?

I was in 6th grade and I can remember watching it televised at school. I remember seeing the second plane strike and I remember seeing people jump and oly imagining how terrified they must be to jump from so high.

I won't forget that day and will let my children know and so on how devastating it was.

I was eating breakfast in Charlotte, North Carolina. Saw the planes in one of the Twin Towers smoking up, and I never knew what that was. I'd like to have a moment of silence today for our servicemen who have fought for our country because of 9/11.

I was working for a division of Sony here in Atlanta.

Was getting the shipments for the day ready when someone opened the door to the back and told us about a terrible accident. The supervisor turned the TV's in the back on and we all stood together trying to figure how a pilot could have made such horrible mistake.

Then the second plane hit.

Everyone just stood in shock. We tried to get back to work, but it just wasn't going to happen. Then we heard the news that the Pentagon had been hit. I remember almost passing out as I thought "We're at war."

The images I saw on TV, the people I know that lost someone, the feeling of dread I had will never be forgotten.

We will ALWAYS remember.

I was in 4th grade. And seeing as I never paid attention in 4th grade, i never even knew what was happening until i got home and watching news after school. All I remember is my 4th grade teacher talking about an airplane crash and then was talking about pearl harbor and how they put those things around the propellers of the torpedoes (lol, I think my teacher was in the Navy tho too). I believe my mom also came into school that day and asked if I wanted to leave, but I didn't understand the magnitude of the event when it happened.

I was working north of Boston at the time and had gone into the break room to grab a coffee. The local station that was playing on the TV broke into a special news brief about it and started showing video of the first tower that had been hit. People began to pull others from their departments into the break room and we were all watching when the second plane hit. It was an event like no other that will have a place in my memory for the rest of my life.

Although I am Canadian, the events of 9/11 were no less horrific.

I was at work in our production plant at the time, when we were informed of the first tower being struck. Well production stopped right there, the entire shop from that moment on were in front of the TV watching the following events unfold.

A few co-workers were openly weeping, like everyone else we had never seen anything so disturbing before. And I hope we never experience anything like that again.

My condolences to any who lost anyone as a result of that day, and my hats off to all rescue workers, without these people where would we be?

I was at home faking sick from school(yes I was a bad kid). I was eating a bowl of cereal and watching the news when it jumped to the trade towers. I watched every minute of it from beginning to end. I didn't know what to think or feel about it. After being in the Army and getting out I now really realize what to think and feel about it. Rage, sympathy, remorse, guilt, and a sense of eternal revenge.

I was in 5th grade all happy because it was my birthday, then I saw my teachers talking and they turned on the TV and we watched that for awhile. All I can remember.
